COUNCIL OF STEWARDS
January 22, 2013

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Rick Wood. Glenda Schuessler offered a devotion.
REVIEW OF MINUTES: Minutes of the November 27, 2012 meeting were reviewed. Jeanne Garner made a motion to accept the Minutes; Vicky Reed seconded; motion approved.
PASTOR’S REPORT:
COUNCIL OF MINISTRIES: The attached written report was submitted and reviewed. Motion to accept the resignation of Jim Norton as Chair of the COM made by Vicky Reed; Joan Johnson seconded; motion approved, with regret and with thanks to Jim for his service.
MEMORIAL:
FINANCE: The $6,000.00 loan to the Trustees has been repaid. Motion to accept the finance report made by Joan Johnson; seconded by Glenda Schuessler; approved. The parsonage rent and expenses were reviewed. Representatives of the Council of Stewards will attend the next Board of Trustees meeting to discuss the issue. A donation of $1,000.00 has been received from the Marni and Morris Propp II Family Foundation for the senior lunch fund. Office and personnel issues were discussed. An internal audit will be done in February. The Trustees are due for an outside audit.
