Holy Week activities

Palm/Passion Sunday – March 25, 11 AM worship – we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and hear the passion story in dramatic form, at our regular worship time.

Palm Sunday Cantata – March 25 – Join us for a special Lenten cantata, We Remember Calvary: A Contemporary Tenebrae Service by Joel Raney.  An area-wide ecumenical choir will lead us in a musical journey through Christ’s last days and his journey to the cross. 4 PM in the sanctuary.

Maundy Thursday Service – March 29 – we will remember Jesus’ last meal with his disciples, his night in the Garden praying, and his betrayal and arrest.  We will share together in Holy Communion.  7 PM in Brown Chapel.

Good Friday Prayer Stations – March 30 – come anytime between 12 – 3 PM to Brown Chapel to spend some time in personal reflection as you engage in prayer stations that engage the senses.  Stay for as little or as much time as you would like.

Good Friday Service – March 30 – our Good Friday service will be a Tenebrae service, or a service of shadows, as we remember the day Jesus was crucified. 7 PM in Brown Chapel.

Easter Sunrise – Sunday, April 1 we will meet at 7 AM on Wally Hurlbut’s property, 2287 Co. Rt. 11/Rock Island Rd. to celebrate the Resurrection!  Following the worship and Holy Communion join us at the N. Gouverneur UMC for breakfast.  The church is located at the intersection of Co Rt. 11 (Rock Island Rd.), Maple Ridge Rd. and Cream of the Valley Rd.

Easter Worship – Sunday, April 1, 11 AM worship, we will gather for a service of joy and celebration as we share the good news Christ is Risen! (He is risen, indeed!) Please join us, and invite your friends to the biggest celebration of all!
