Ongoing – Volunteers are sought for Mission trips to the areas of our Upper New York Conference affected by the hurricane flooding. Please contact the church office if you can assist with this work, the secretary can put you in contact with the appropriate person.

August – We’ve Got Your Back to School. We are collecting the following school supplies to distribute: folders, glue sticks, pencils, 1 subject spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, cap erasers. We are also collecting new underwear for elementary age children. Professional hairstylists from the community will be present to give free haircuts.
October – We’ve Got Your Back in the Cold – donated coats were available to those who needed them during Oktoberfest in the Village Park.
December – We’ve Got Your Back on Vacation – kids were welcomed at church beginning with a breakfast meal and ending with lunch and snacks to take home. In between the meals Rachel Browning entertained with puppets and there were activities.
December – donated items were placed in goody bags and handed to folks as the caroling group made their rounds of the village of Gouverneur, the Kinney Nursing Home and E. J. Noble Hospital. Angel Tree gifts helped a young family have a brighter Christmas celebration.
December – the Christmas offering is collected to support several mission opportunities.
February – We’ve Got Your Back on Vacation Take 2 – stay tuned for dates and more information (or contact the church office, 287-2440).
June – August, scholarships were awarded to 18 kids who attended summer camp at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center. $50 and go!
Through out the Year – United Methodist Women – this group pledges a portion of its’ income to support Mission projects.
July – Vacation Bible School Offering -the monies faithfully brought in by the children was given to the United Methodist Committee on Relief to assist in addressing tornado and flood relief in the Midwest in 2011. In 2012 the monies collected supported the Fresh Air Fund. In 2013 the offering was sent “To Haiti With Love” for burn creme.
October – The Add Hope Committee recently tithed on investment income – a $2,000 check was sent to the Upper New York Annual Conference to support flood relief.
March – The Add Hope Committee sent $250.00 to support the work of the Gouverneur Neighborhood Center.
