The Handbell Choir will rehearse Monday evenings, 6 – 7 PM in Room 101.  Those in grades 5 – adults are welcome; ability to read music a real plus!  Please check the church calendar for meeting dates.

Those interested in Liturgical Dance please meet in Brown Chapel following the morning worship service.  For more information please call Vicky Reed, 287-0122.  The Dance group will assist in the worship service on May 13, Mother’s Day.

Brochures are printed and in our hands.  We can put one in your hands if you don’t have one.  Please call the church offie (287-2440) to receive one.  If you would like to check out the programming available at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center, Greig, NY please follow this link: http://www.campsandretreats.org/index.php/aldersgate/home/  There are lots of possibilities.  One can even register online.  For scholarship aid request a form from the church office.

Family Life Weekend will take place at Aldersgate July 20-22 with Rev. Bill Mudge, Adirondack District Superintendent as the adult resource person.  More details will follow.  Registration will be available early in May.

The pick-up date for the May order is Thursday, May 17  at the Gouverneur VFW, 9 AM – 10 AM.

Pick-up Date:  Thursday, May 17, Gouverneur VFW (West Main Street) from 9 AM – 10 AM.  Delivery available to Pine Grove, Kilkarney Court, and Cambray Housing.  Please call the  Judy Wood (287-0573) or Terry Pistolesi (287-7639) for more information. Judy and Terry will be taking orders on April 29 following the morning worship service, until 1 PM.  Orders for Food Sense can be placed until May 3 for the May order.  Menus are available in the church office or online at the Food Sense website (http://www.foodbankcny.org/default.aspx?PageID=736#county).  Please note that Cash or Food stamps only are accepted, EBT card funds will be posted May 7.

Please remember that the pick-up site (the VFW) cannot hold any packages after the scheduled pick-up time.  If you have a conflict, give your receipt to a friend and they may claim the package for you.

Specials info:

The spare ribs are a country-style boneless pork rib.

The vegetable lasagna is a family-sized Stouffers’ product.

The sliced American cheese is not individually wrapped.

The beef patties are made from 100% ground beef.

The salmon fillets are individually quick frozen.

The meatball Hot Pockets contain 12 sandwiches per special.

All teens are welcome!  Please meet at 9:30 AM Sunday mornings.  You can find the group meeting in Brown Chapel.

The pizza sale showed a profit equal to three or four camping scholarships!  Kudos to the Youth Group and all who contributed to this effort through selling, assembling, purchasing and eating pizza!

Sunday School teachers will meet students in Room 102 at 9:30AM concluding with a snack at 10:30 AM.  The group is learning about Jesus’ life as their curriculum.  The final meeting of the 2012 Spring session will be May 20.

Adult Sunday School class meets at 9:30 AM in the Church Library (Room 105).  Please join in as we explore God’s Word to learn His will for our lives and deepen our spiritual growth through studying the Bible together.
