Pastor Ben

Christ’s blessings to you all!

I was born the youngest of three in the beautiful state of Virginia on December 16, 1989. Very early in my life I got use to the itinerate lifestyle as we moved often due to my father’s job as a senior chef. My family finally settled down when I was in middle school near Rochester, New York where I attended the Brighton school system until I graduated. After graduation I heard the call to head back down south where I attend my Ferrum College in Virginia.

It was at Ferrum College where I heard the call to ministry and took the steps to answer that call in the United Methodist Church. After receiving my Bachelors of Religious Studies with an emphasis in Christian Ministry I was honored to be appointed to my first church Morrisville UMC in the Fredericksburg District. It was while I was serving Morrisville UMC where my life was forever changed when I met my wife, Alyssa. We have been wonderfully married since January 11, 2014. In our years of marriage, our family has grown by five as we currently have two dogs and three cats. In 2016 Alyssa and I heard the call of the Lord to move to this blessed Upper New York Conference and have been appointed to serve Gouverneur First UMC as well as North Gouverneur UMC since 2022.

I am a self-avowed nerd and my hobbies include reading comic books, playing in RPG’s, and gaming with friends and my wife.
