Wow! It’s hard to believe that September has already arrived! Fall is here! And that means it is time for another year of Sunday School to begin! We’ve been working hard to plan for the new year, and we have some great new things in store.
This year, we’ll be using a new curriculum called Deep Blue Rotational. This curriculum will let us go in depth with learning stories from the Bible. We’ll stick with each lesson for a few weeks in a row, so we know it inside and out. And each week, students will have a chance to study the lesson at a different learning station. Some weeks, we’ll learn through music. Some weeks we’ll study God’s word by cooking delicious treats! Some weeks we’ll work on cool craft projects. Other weeks we’ll learn about reading the Bible and understanding what we find there.
We have a great team of Sunday School teachers set up, and each teacher will get a chance to work with each class of students. We have classes for Pre-K through Sixth Grade. Nursery Care will also be available during Sunday School time to care for our youngest folks!
Please join us for our Sunday School kickoff on Sunday, September 11th, 2016. We’ll have a time of registration at 9am. A parent or guardian should be present to fill out a registration form, meet teachers, and hear about the year ahead. Sunday School will take place from 9:45am-10:45am. Parents and guardians should be ready to pick up their children at 10:45 to head upstairs for worship, which begins at 11am.
All of our teachers and nursery staff have completed background checks, part of our Safe Sanctuaries program, and part of our commitment to care for your children in a safe and loving environment.
We’re so excited to begin another year of Sunday School, and we’ll hoping you’ll be part of it!
See you soon!
